Cremorne House
Optimised space, vistas and privacy.
Cremorne House
Cremorne house is a townhouse located Sydney’s Lower North Shore, on leafy Sutherland Street. Originally constructed in 1974 as part of a Class 2 multi-townhouse development scheme, this red brick building lacked cohesion and connection to its surroundings. Its interior was a maze of small, irregular rooms, while the facade appeared disjointed with its miss-proportioned openings.
Through meticulous analysis and 3D VR modelling, we strategically positioned new wall openings to optimise vistas and privacy. By reconnecting the under-utilised front and rear terraces with the living space, we created a sense of unity and openness.

These terraces now serve as integral components, seamlessly integrating the indoors with the outdoors and strengthening the home's relationship with its surroundings.
The existing house entry was convoluted and unclear. Our goal was to infuse a sense of order and calmness into both the arrival experience and the front elevation treatment. Internally, we prioritised space efficiency, simplification, and decluttering to create a serene environment. By strategically creating pathways for natural light, we illuminated the heart of the plan, unlocking an optimised layout that maximises on light, space, and ultimately, enhances the value of our Client’s home.
